About the Author
Jessica Tremblay is an award-haiku poet from Quebec who moved to Vancouver, B.C in the winter of 2005 and fell in love with cherry blossoms the following spring.
In 2008, her haiku "late for work - / cherry petals / in my hair" won Best B.C. Poem at the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku Invitational. The winning poem was sculpted in a Haiku rock in the cherry grove of the Van Dusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, B.C).
Since 2013, she volunteers for the Vancouver Cherry Blossoms as the haiku coordinator, manages the VCBF blog, and acts as cherry scout to identify cherry trees in her neighborhood.
